LeBron James made a career-high 23 shots from the field on Friday night in a win over the Wizards to finish with 57 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, two blocks, three turnovers and two 3-pointers.
If you read The Week Ahead this week, it was predicted that among all of Cleveland’s troubles and the media bashing that LeBron James would rise like a phoenix and set the NBA on fire just to prove a point this week. I’d say 57-11-7 is flamethrower status and the rest of the league needs to take cover. It appears the Wizards got the memo a little late. It should be noted that LeBron went 9-9 from the line on Friday night. He’s a career 74 percent free throw shooter and that’s traditionally been the weakest part of his game the last few years. A perfect night from the line is a beautiful sight.
