The Pistons came up short on Wednesday despite a Herculean effort from Andre Drummond, who shot 12-of-16 from the field in collecting 27 points, 20 rebounds and six assists against the Bucks.
Drummond did some damage to his currently career-high free throw percentage with a 3-of-8 mark there, but nobody has a right to complain on a night like this. He’s been a top-30 player this season on the back of career-bests in free throws, steals, rebounds and assists — and that’s including his still-poor freebies. Drummond looks like a new man this season and has expanded his game in completely unexpected ways. While you should probably hedge your bets and expect a little regression across the board, Dre should return profit with ease this year. He’s been fantastic.
