Andre Drummond dropped 19 points, 22 boards and four steals on the Pelicans but it wasn’t enough in Thursday’s loss.
Drummond is coming off an NBA record for misses at the free throw line so tonight’s 3-of-5 mark was some much needed relief. Yes, if you’re punting free throws (and cutting off that category’s influence on the player pool) he’s getting it done at his roster slot. But where Drummond really took off was when he was a field goal percentage monster two seasons ago. This year he’s still bottom-dwelling at 52 percent from the field and that makes him just a mid-round asset if you’re not punting.
