Andrew Wiggins had a well-rounded line in Tuesday’s 123-109 victory, scoring 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting (5-of-5 from the line, too) to go with three rebounds, one assist, three blocks and four 3-pointers.
This is the type of line befitting of Wiggins’ ADP. Unfortunately, it’s a relatively rare occurrence. Between his .446 field goal percentage and his horrific .647 mark from the charity stripe, not to mention his pedestrian 1.4 threes per game, Wiggins just relies far too much on volume scoring to be anything more than a late-round fantasy play. He’s been working his way into the top-100 over the last month at least, so perhaps he’s peaking at the right time. It won’t make for a good ROI but owners will take whatever they can get in the fantasy playoffs.
