Ben Simmons scored 16 points on 8-of-20 shooting with eight rebounds, nine assists, three steals and two blocks in the Sixers’ 101-81 win over the Blazers on Wednesday.
Simmons has been in this ballpark all season long (0-for-2 FTs) and he’s returning top 30-50 value (8/9 cat) to start the year. Markelle Fultz doesn’t seem scary but that could slow Simmons up, as could the rest of the league figuring out how to stop or slow him. Joel Embiid scored 28 points with 12 boards, two blocks, one three and 5-of-5 freebies, and Robert Covington was his typically great self with nine points, 10 boards, three assists, two steals and two threes.
