Blake Griffin posted 26 points (9-of-15 shooting), nine rebounds, 10 assists, three triples and a block against the Suns in Tuesday’s blowout win.
This is about as good as it gets from Griffin, who hit all five of his free throws and didn’t commit any turnovers in 32 minutes. He’s delivered early-round value over his last two weeks but will still fall short of his ADP, especially as desperation sets in for Detroit. Griffin is a tremendous source of counting stats but will always be capped by paltry defensive output and some occasionally damaging shooting performances. That problem will persist as Griffin takes more triples, and with the Pistons on life support it wouldn’t be shocking if he forced a bunch of action and took the sledgehammer to owners’ field goal percentages. Andre Drummond took a backseat with Griffin in top form but still cooked up 10 & 10 with five blocks.
