Bradley Beal scored 26 points on 9-of-18 shooting (including four threes) with four rebounds, five assists and one steal over 46 minutes in Friday’s double-overtime loss to the Wolves.
Beal gets until Sunday to rest but the workload and the disappointment of the loss have the potential to be back-breakers for these Wizards. They’re not going to let off the gas as they sit 3.5 games behind the eight slot in the East, but the wheels could fall off before then. Owners have to be thrilled with the production they’re getting out of Beal, though. John Wall added 22 points with 16 assists, two steals and three treys, Marcin Gortat went for 19 and 15 but hit just 3-of-8 freebies, and Otto Porter went for 14 and 13 with two threes and a block.
