Bradley Beal led the Wizards in Wednesday’s big double overtime victory, toppling the Celtics with 34 points (14-of-27 shooting), seven rebounds, nine assists, two steals, a block and three triples.
The Wizards were down by 20 in the first half but came back to pick up a big win in Boston. Beal was only 3-of-6 from the charity stripe but delivered enough clutch buckets down the stretch that nobody will be complaining. It appeared as though Beal was tiring in the second extra session, as one does when they play 47 minutes, but he turned on the jets and blew by some overmatched Celtics for great looks at the rim. His jumper wasn’t quite there tonight but he made up for it with his aggression whenever he was presented with a mismatch. Beal won’t slow down too much when John Wall gets back, either, and is a safe early-round play whenever he takes the floor.
