Damian Lillard hung 26 points on the Magic on Wednesday night to go with 11 rebounds, seven assists, two turnovers and five 3-pointers in the Blazers’ 99-94 win.
Lillard’s scoring is what he’s known for and that’s justified. His five 3s on Wednesday were a season-high thus far. But it’s Lillard’s rebounding that seems to be coming out of nowhere. He’s got five or more rebounds in his last seven games and is averaging more than seven per game over that time. He’s averaged about four rebounds per game over his career but is now averaging six this season. This adds an interesting wrinkle to Lillard’s already impressive stat set.
