Damian Lillard led the Blazers to a 118-107 win on Saturday night, going 10-of-15 from the field and knocking down seven 3-pointers en route to 31 points, five rebounds and nine assists against the Mavs.
Lillard came out on fire, hitting his first nine shots — including all seven of his threes. He didn’t even miss a shot until late in the third and this was a pretty emphatic statement about his All-Star candidacy even if he played coy after the game. Dame has been snubbed a few years running given the wealth of talent in backcourts across the NBA, so perhaps this will be the year he cracks the roster again. He’s been tremendous since returning from his latest injury, and it’s looking like a re-aggravation there is the only thing that can keep him out of top-15 value.
