D’Angelo Russell posted the first triple-double of his young career on Friday night, posting 18 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists and a steal in 31 minutes against the Raptors.
It must be something about Toronto that does it for D’Lo, who scored 24 points in six minutes against the Raptors in their last faceoff. He was only 8-for-21 tonight and missed all four 3-pointers but it was still a great night. This was actually the first triple-double by a Nets player since Terrence Williams accomplished the feat in a double overtime game all the way back in 2010. Maybe that will come up at bar trivia somewhere. Russell seems to be putting some distance between himself and Spencer Dwiniddie of late, so make sure that D-Loading is locked into lineups so you can capitalize on middle-round run to end the year.
