DeMar DeRozan may have rested for the entire fourth quarter on Sunday but he did plenty of work early on, finishing with a game-high 35 points in 29 minutes.
DeRozan shot 11-of-15 and was a pristine 13-of-15 from the free throw line as well. His only other contributions were two rebounds and two turnovers, but owners will probably take this output and run considering he only played three quarters. He was the only Raptor who showed up on time in the early start, as his 15 first quarter points kept the team afloat. DDR has been a top-50 guy on the season but will be hard pressed to take the next step until he adds a three point shot to the arsenal. Even if nothing changes, he’s a bankable asset in next year’s drafts.
