• DeMarcus Cousins put the hurt on his old coach Michael Malone in the Pelicans’ 123-114 win over the Nuggets, scoring 40 points on 12-of-25 shooting (2-of-6 3PTs, 14-of-21 FTs) with 22 rebounds, four assists and four blocks.

Cousins is going to dominate the touches and against a thin, depleted Nuggets frontcourt it looked like vintage do-it-all DeMarcus.  Rajon Rondo (11 points, six rebounds, seven assists, one three) is settling into his role as point guard, and Jrue Holiday (27 points, seven assists, one steal, one trey) is also going to be carrying the scoring load while Anthony Davis is out.
