Devin Booker didn’t deliver a repeat performance from last season’s historical night in Boston on Saturday but did manage to score 38 points in 39 minutes, including a 16-of-29 shooting line to go with three triples, four rebounds and five assists.
You’d like to see some more steals out of Booker but owners can’t complain if he’s going to stay efficient like this. He also fouled out, but it’s not like his night was ended all that early here. A limited stat set and poor shooting really capped Booker’s ceiling but this year he’s clicking at a career-high .447 from the field after shooting .423 in his first two years in the league. He’ll be a safe top-50 guy if the bottom doesn’t drop out there and should be treated as such.
