Dion Waiters tied a career-high with 33 points on 12-of-19 shooting (5-of-8 3PTs, 4-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, three assists and one steal in the Heat’s 109-97 win over the Bucks on Saturday.
The Heat are becoming pretty great with Waiters and James Johnson (seven points, 3-of-12 FGs, three rebounds, six assists, one steal, 34 minutes) getting all this run and all the touches that they’ve wanted their entire careers. Tyler Johnson’s (shoulder) absence obviously played a big role in this and Waiters can be a late-round value while he’s out. Johnson is a must-own guy the rest of the way. Hassan Whiteside added 16 & 15 with two blocks to show some signs of life, and Wayne Ellington put up 15 points with three treys, five boards and two steals. He’ll also be a late-round threat if Johnson remains out.
