It was throwback night in more ways than one on Tuesday, as Dwyane Wade delivered 27 points, three steals, two 3-pointers and a block in a 102-101 win over the Sixers while scoring 15 in the fourth and hitting the game-winner in the closing seconds.
Wade has his first signature moment in Miami’s Vice uniforms. Philly had this one in control before the veteran completely took over in the fourth, and it felt like going through a time warp on the final possession. There was no chance that Wade would give anyone else that final shot but the Sixers were powerless to stop him on a night where he flat out stole a victory for his team. Unfortunately, Wade is unlikely to deliver this kind of output again this year. The 25 minutes he saw tonight might be enough to support late-round value but anyone chasing a repeat performance here will be left sorely disappointed.
