Elfrid Payton recorded his second straight triple-double on Wednesday, scoring 22 points with 14 boards and 14 assists against the Bulls.
Just like his last outing he was efficient, going 8-of-12 from the floor and 6-of-7 from the line while also chipping in two blocks and two steals. Over his last three games Payton is returning fourth round value, and he looks rejuvenated as the team’s starting point guard. Still, owners would be wise to remember that Payton remains outside the top-120 players in standard leagues. His arrow might be pointing up, but we’re still waiting to see more before declaring him a must-start player.
