Eric Gordon was a catalyst in the Rockets’ comeback victory on Monday, shooting 12-of-18 from the field and 7-of-12 from behind the arc en route to 33 points in 36 minutes.
Gordon did almost nothing else with one assist and one block, but his fantasy owners won’t complain. It underscores the fact that his stat set doesn’t leave him much margin for error as a 3-point specialist, but he can absolutely swing the category with one good game. The Jazz actually led this one by eight in the fourth quarter but Houston ripped off a 15-0 run that was led by three straight longballs from Gordon. He’s a late-round play with major upside whenever his shot is dropping like this.
