Garrett Temple dropped 34 points on 14-of-17 shooting (going 4-of-7 from deep) with five assists and two rebounds in 40 minutes on Tuesday.
Temple was red-hot tonight off the bench. 40 minutes is a lot of a 31-year old player on a team supposedly embracing the “youth movement,” but the extended run came as George Hill (rest) did not play tonight and De’Aaron Fox (abdominal) left in the second quarter. That left the Kings with few options but to ride the veteran guard’s hot hand to victory in big minutes. His production and role in the rotation are fairly questionable at this point, so leave Temple for deep leagues.
