Marc Gasol had 28 points (10-of-16 from the field, including 5-of-5 from beyond the arc), seven boards, five assists, one steal and one block while Mike Conley dropped 29 points (10-of-19 from the field), three boards, eight assists, three triples and no turnovers in Tuesday’s 130-112 win against the Suns.
Gasol’s well-rounded line is a direct reflection of the great season he’s having, nearly averaging a triple-one with 1.4 threes, 0.9 steals and 1.4 blocks. That’s top-20 value on the season. Mike Conley has been returning third-round value with career-highs in points (19.4), rebounds (3.6) and threes (2.4). Both have been great surprises after starting the season with their respective injury question marks.
