Giannis Antetokounmpo hit 12-of-19 shots (15-of-17 FTs) for a career-high 39 points with eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block in the Bucks’ 123-96 win over the Wizards on Friday.
We feel like jerks picking apart his stat lines on a night when he nearly hit a 40-burger and had MVP chants in the gym. But he didn’t hit a three and the scoring seemed to take a toll on other categories. He has to do so much to maintain his elite value we just wonder if he can keep it up. So far he’s making us look silly but we’re not even a third of the way through the season. Jabari Parker added 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks and a three in the win.
