Hassan Whiteside scored a career-high 26 points on 8-of-11 shooting with 14 rebounds and four blocks, but the story was his foul shooting as he hit 10-of-11 from the charity stripe on Tuesday against the Bulls.
Whiteside has been hitting mid-range jumpers and free throws and it’s really screwing with the narrative of him being a potentially overpaid player this summer. He has been the No. 5 and No. 7 fantasy player over the last month and No. 7 and 11 player over the last two months in 9- and 8-cat leagues, respectively. Over the last two months he’s hitting 67.9 percent of his free throws and he’s at 59.4 percent on the season, which is nearly 10 percent up from his 50 percent mark last season.
