Damian Lillard hit 10-of-20 shots and C.J. McCollum hit 11-of-22 from the field as the Blazers held serve at home by the score of 96-88 in Saturday’s Game 3 win over the Clippers.
Lillard finished with 32 points, five boards and just two assists and McCollum scored 27 points with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block as the duo repeatedly hit tough shots that they can’t expect to make on a regular basis. The duo oscillates between savvy and out of control and they’ll need to regain control of the tempo in order to have a chance in this series.
Al-Farouq Aminu had a quiet night with nine points on 4-of-12 shooting, seven boards, one steal and one block, and Moe Harkless was a roller coaster with 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting, seven rebounds, one block and five turnovers. Mason Plumlee had the biggest night with six points, 21 rebounds, nine assists and one steal, and the Clippers have effectively made him a playmaker and they’ll take that result every night.
