Jabari Parker set career-highs with 28 points and 13 rebounds in Saturday’s overtime win in Atlanta against the Hawks, hitting 11-of-21 shots to go with two assists.
Parker is never going to have great money counting stats in the 3-point, steals and blocks departments, but he does look ready to become a 20 and 10 threat. His athleticism improves each time we see him and he’s skilled enough to function as the team’s go-to scorer, or 1A/1B next to Greg Monroe. He’s a must-own player that will slowly improve down the stretch, and if he can crack top 70-100 (8/9 cat) value that should be seen as a solid win. Monroe added 24 and 12 with four rebounds, one steal and one block in 36 minutes off the bench tonight, further proving that starting vs. reserve unit status doesn’t matter with Jason Kidd.
