Jamal Murray shot 11-of-23 in Saturday’s 107-102 loss, tallying 31 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and surprisingly just one 3-pointer.
Tonight isn’t the best example, but Murray’s flimsy stat set makes games like these a prime sell high opportunity. He’s pretty reliant on his shot dropping and has been prone to nasty slumps in the past, so there’s not a lot of a safety net considering his marginal production in the other counting stats. While he certainly has the talent and opportunity to keep producing at a middle-round pace, we’d rather play the odds and bet on him settling closer to the top-100 when it’s all said and done.
