James Harden went off in the Rockets’ 100-95 comeback win over the Pelicans on Wednesday, scoring 39 points on 11-of-24 shooting (1-of-8 3PTs, 16-of-18 FTs) with 12 rebounds, seven assists, four steals, one block and eight turnovers.
Harden appeared to tweak his right hamstring at one point but obviously it didn’t impact his game tonight. The Rockets were a mess tonight, hitting just 3-of-34 attempts from beyond the arc and setting an NBA record as the first team in history to hit just three with over 30 attempts. He has overtaken Russell Westbrook for the No. 3 ranking in 8-cat leagues, and in 9-cat leagues he is stalking Anthony Davis for No. 4 and has Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry and Westbrook in a virtual tie with him as well.
