Joe Johnson picked up the scoring slack with Dwyane Wade (thigh) on the shelf in Saturday’s loss to the Raptors, scoring 28 points on 11-of-21 shooting (including four threes) with four rebounds and five assists in 43 minutes.
Johnson has been a must-start player since arriving in Miami but he’s shooting 56.8 percent over his last eight games. With the Heat staring at two three-game weeks, we’re willing to bet a good amount of Internet pointz that his shooting regression timed with those two weeks will make him a perfect candidate for your bench. And no, you can’t drop him with his solid late-round floor and top-100 likelihood. Goran Dragic added 13 points on 5-of-18 shooting with seven rebounds, nine assists and one three in the loss.
