John Wall led the charge for the Wizards in their Christmas victory, posting 21 points, 14 assists, five rebounds and a steal in 39 minutes.
Wall’s looking pretty healthy and keyed a big 12-0 run that put Washington ahead for good in this one. You’ll probably need to keep an eye out for occasional rest days as the Wizards try to keep their superstar healthy, but Wall needs to be in lineups whenever he hits the floor. He’s sitting at just top-50/80 value in 8/9-cat so far, with most of that coming from some poor shooting. A rebound seems likely given that Wall is shooting .413 from the floor. That’s his worst mark since a .409 in his rookie campaign. It’s even more stark from the free throw line, where his current .707 is a career low by about six percentage points and well below his career average of 78.7 percent. Wall was 8-of-19 from the field and 5-of-7 from the stripe today, for whatever it’s worth. Bet on some positive regression heading his way, especially if he can get in rhythm after his latest knee injury.
