Kevin Love exploded for 34 first quarter points – a franchise record – in Wednesday night’s win against the Blazers.
Strangely, he wasn’t prominently featured in the game plan from that point forward, scoring just six points over the game’s final three frames. Love finished with 40 points, eight boards, three assists, one steal, one block and eight 3-pointers. He’s held solid third round value in standard leagues, and tonight was an excellent reminder for how dominant he can be when he gets going.
