Kobe Bryant (shoulder) played and played well in his last game against the LeBron and the Cavs, scoring 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting (including three treys) with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block over 32 minutes in the Lakers’ 120-108 loss on Thursday.
We were wrong to doubt Kobe’s ability to play big minutes tonight and then he doubled down on that with a solid performance. Jordan Clarkson took a back seat with five points on 2-of-12 shooting, and D’Angelo Russell was solid with 24 points on 8-of-19 shooting, four treys, four rebounds and five assists in the loss. Kobe could easily need extra time off after a game like this, but the reality is that he’ll be day-to-day for the rest of the year so owners will get plenty of updates.
