LaMarcus Aldridge played 40 minutes on Sunday, finishing a tough loss with 28 points and plenty more.
Aldridge added eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, a block and a triple for good measure. While he shot just 11-of-24, this is a terrific line all things considered. San Antonio was cruising along but came off the rails when Kawhi Leonard went down with an ankle injury, leaving Aldridge as the go-to guy on offense. He had a terrific close to the Houston series and continued that strong play today. The team was feeding him early but he’ll be in for some monster workloads if Leonard misses any time. He’ll look to stay hot in Game 2.
