LeBron James triple-doubled with 27 points on 10-of-21 shooting, two threes, 5-of-6 FTs, 11 boards, 10 assists, one steal and two blocks in Saturday’s road win over the Knicks.
Kyrie Irving didn’t play in this one so Kevin Love (28 points, 12 boards, two assists, four threes) was free to stick it to old nemesis Kurt Rambis. All of the drama has been good for LeBron’s owners, as rather than shutting it down he has been playing angry as the Cavs find themselves in a chase for the No. 1 seed with Toronto. Love’s counterpart, Channing Frye, had another dud with six points, four boards and one steal but zero threes in his 14 minutes. He’ll probably bounce back but you’re not chancing that unless you’re desperate for treys. The Cavs have four games next week.
