LeBron James was on autopilot in the Cavs’ 117-104 Game 1 win over the Celtics on Wednesday, scoring 38 points on 14-of-24 shooting (1-of-6 3PTs, 9-of-11 FTs) with nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 42 minutes.
The Cavs showed up in Boston with no designs on taking it easy, throwing the first punch and never letting up or subbing LeBron out during a game that was never close. Outside of a hard double to get the ball out of his hands there is nothing the Celtics have to slow him down. Kevin Love added 32 points on 9-of-16 shooting with six treys, 8-of-9 freebies, 12 boards, one steal and one block in the win.
