Marc Gasol was dominant in Wednesday’s 116-113 loss to the Pacers, finishing a tough loss with 35 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and five blocks while shooting 12-of-24 from the field and 3-of-7 from behind the arc.
Gasol took it upon himself to keep Memphis afloat with Mike Conley out and nearly snatched this one from the jaws of defeat. He took it to Indiana’s frontcourt through 39 minutes tonight and made this one a 9-cat gem by committing just two turnovers. While you should be a little wary of potential rest days given Gasol’s balky ankle, that’s about the only thing standing between him and top-30 production. Gasol is one of the NBA’s very best.
