Marvin Williams hit 7-of-12 shots (including a career-high tying five threes) for 22 points and six rebounds in the Hornets’ 118-103 win over the Pistons on Friday.
Williams got nary an add recommendation in way too many places on the Internet for a guy that was obviously in shape and doing great things in the first few weeks of the season. He has gone on to produce top 45-70 value (9/8 cat) when on the floor this season, so if you didn’t have your head in the sand you got one of the better waiver wire pickups of the season. Nicolas Batum added 17 points, five rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and one three, and Kemba Walker shook off a Reggie Jackson Flagrant-1 foul to finish with 16 and eight in the win.
