The Hornets dropped a 121-114 decision to the Celtics on Saturday despite the best efforts of Nicolas Batum, who dropped 31 points with eight rebounds, three dimes and four triples.
Batum didn’t add a steal or a block but shot 11-of-23 and only committed one turnover. He’s been floating around the top-50 all year and continues to be a strong source of multi-cat production. Batum is shooting just .402 this season after posting a .426 mark last year, but he’s unlikely to ever top .430 as long as he’s shooting in volume. He’s the type of player that suits almost any build and should be worth a mid-round selection in next year’s drafts.
