Norris Cole scored 23 points on 8-of-19 shooting (1-of-4 3PTs, 6-of-7 FTs) with seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Pelicans’ 115-112 win over the Kings on Monday.
Hopefully you’ve been reading the blurbs and the Trash or Treasure column that Andy Tran put out this weekend, because Cole instantaneously paid off for owners and he has another three games to go this week. Anthony Davis hit 13-of-21 shots but just 4-of-9 free throws for 31 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, one block and one three, and Jrue Holiday scored 20 points on 9-of-18 shooting with four rebounds, 10 assists, four steals, one block and one three in the win. Opponents won’t always be stat factories like the Kings are, but these guys and Ryan Anderson should get a ton of run and touches going forward as the only truly capable offensive players on the team.
