LeBron James poured in 41 points (16-for-30 FGs, 4-for-8 3PTs) with 16 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three blocks, while Kyrie Irving matched with 41 points (17-for-24 FGs, 5-for-7 3PTs) and three rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block.
It was the first time in NBA Finals history that two teammates put up 40+ points on the brink of elimination. LeBron and Kyrie scored or assisted on 97 points tonight for the Cavs, while the Warriors had 97 points alone. The King repeatedly got to the rim at will, especially without Draymond Green suspended and Andrew Bogut getting injured early in the second half. Kyrie was ultra-unconscious with his crossover shot and seemed to bail out the Cavs every time the Warriors made it a game. If the Cavs want any hope of getting even at home, they will need a repeat performance from these two.
