Quinn Cook stepped up in a big way in Friday’s 98-93 loss to the Kings, scoring a career-high 25 points on a blistering 10-of-13 from the field to go with four rebounds, three assists, three steals and five 3-pointers in 40 minutes.
Cook had only topped 20 points once in his career before tonight, and while somebody was going to be the big winner with so many Warriors hurt nobody would’ve guessed this was coming. The Dubs should be seriously undermanned for the next two weeks, leaving Cook with plenty of opportunity to produce as the starting point guard. He had scored just 25 points combined over his previous three games, but those all came with Kevin Durant in the lineup. He’s worth an add if you need a point guard for your playoff push but just know that this type of line probably isn’t in the cards going forward.
