Rodney Hood scored all 30 of his points in the first half of the Jazz’s 123-75 win over the Lakers on Monday, finishing with 11-of-13 makes from the field (8-of-9 3PTs) to go with three rebounds and a block.
This game got silly and in the second half his teammates took over in what felt more like an exhibition celebrating Kobe’s last game in Utah more than a real NBA game. Rudy Gobert came up big for maligned owners, grabbing a season-high 19 rebounds to go with eight points, four assists and two blocks. Shelvin Mack was able to keep his standard league value going with 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting, three rebounds, five assists and a three, but he won’t get the Lakers every night so owners will want to stay on their toes.
