Rudy Gobert showed no signs of rust from his sprained PCL in Friday’s 117-115 loss to the Knicks, posting 23 points (7-of-10 from the field, 9-of-15 from the line), 14 rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes of playing time.
Out for the last 14 games, Gobert returned on Friday and blasted past his supposed 24-minute limit. He made life hard for New York’s players whenever they wandered into the paint and looked pretty spry for the most part. The Jazz are one of the hotter names in the rumor mill at the moment and might be gearing up for a playoff run, so they’re going to lean heavily on the guy that makes their defense elite. Gobert is back and ready to roll, which means all owners can get their early-round center back in active lineups immediately.
November 16, 2019, 11:36 pmDamian LillardPG, Portland Trail Blazers
Damian Lillard scored 22 points (4-of-19 from the floor) while shooting a perfect 13-of-13 from the line to go with six assists on Saturday.
Lillard struggled from the floor but provided a big boost in free throw percentage on Saturday. Lillard should provide first-round value all season.
November 16, 2019, 11:35 pmChris BoucherPF, Toronto Raptors
Chris Boucher played just 12 minutes only scoring 3 points while adding three rebounds and a block in Saturday's loss to the Mavericks.
A priority add in all leagues, Boucher failed to get off the bench for the injury-riddled Raptors. After a solid outing on Monday this is a real stinker for Boucher-owners as the team is running on fumes. It is advisable for fantasy owners to remain patient, as the Raps have almost no other bigs, but if he cannot get off the bench he should not be rostered for long.
November 16, 2019, 11:31 pmLaMarcus AldridgePF, San Antonio Spurs
LaMarcus Aldridge double-doubled on Saturday with 30 points (12-of-20 from the floor), 13 rebounds and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
Hopefully this scoring burst can get Aldridge going on the offensive end after a slow start to the season. After Saturday Aldridge is averaging 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks while shooting .522 from the field and .830 from the line.
November 16, 2019, 11:24 pmDerrick WhitePG, San Antonio Spurs
Derrick White scored 10 points (3-of-6 shooting) with three rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks in 34 minutes on Saturday.
White started for Dejounte Murray (rest) and put up a well-rounded line with great defensive stats. White is inconsistent and has his upside capped since Coach Popovich doesn't play he and Murray together. White is a player to watch in case that situation changes and he starts to see his minutes climb. Until then he is a stash with upside and will be inconsistent.
November 16, 2019, 11:24 pmJames HardenPG, Houston Rockets
James Harden continued his torrid offensive form scoring 49 points, along with five rebounds, six assists and eight triples in Saturday's 125-105 win vs. the Wolves.
Harden feasted on the offensive end with Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon, Danuel House and Clint Capela all out. He went a whopping 15-of-41 from the field, including 8-of-22 from three. He also chipped 9-of-11 from the line. Harden is continuing his monster fantasy season. Just enjoy the ride.
November 16, 2019, 11:20 pmMarc GasolC, Toronto Raptors
Marc Gasol was flat-footed in the contest shooting just 1-of-7 from the field and adding nine rebounds, two assists and a steal in Saturday's loss to the Mavs.
Gasol matched up against Dallas' Kristaps Porzingis in this one and was dominated in the post. Gasol just could not get his shot over the 7'3" Porzingis and did not even bother to pull him out of the paint only attempting two shots from behind the arc. He just is not the player he used to be but with the Raptors injuries piling up Gasol will continue to get plenty of minutes to string fantasy owners along.
November 16, 2019, 11:18 pmBen McLemoreSG, Houston Rockets
Ben McLemore got the start and scored 20 points, along with four rebounds, one assist, two steals and four treys on Saturday.
The Rockets were missing Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon, Danuel House and Clint Capela so McLemore had a lot more opportunity. He is still only a deep-league player with Westbrook and House not expected to be out for long.
November 16, 2019, 11:18 pmBryn ForbesSG, San Antonio Spurs
Bryn Forbes scored 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting with little else in a 121-116 loss to the Blazers on Saturday.
Forbes has low upside but can be relied on for points and threes. Expect him to contribute nothing outside of those two categories though.
November 16, 2019, 11:14 pmNorman PowellSF, Toronto Raptors
Norman Powell was hot from the field tonight scoring 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting adding a career-high six 3's to go along with six rebounds, an assist and steal in Saturday's loss to the Mavericks.
After a frigid game three nights ago against the Blazers, Powell woke up and was incredibly efficient from behind the arc. The six 3's are a career high and the Raptors relied on his shot tonight. He will continue to provide value for fantasy owners while teammate Kyle Lowry remains out with injury.
November 16, 2019, 11:14 pmAustin RiversPG, Houston Rockets
Austin Rivers got the start and scored 19 points, along with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block on Saturday.
Austin Rivers got the start with Russell Westbrook resting on the second night of a back-to-back set. With Westbrook expected to return next game, Rivers is only a deep-league player.
