Russell Westbrook scored 34 points on 13-of-27 shooting (1-of-4 3PTs, 7-of-8 FTs) with 10 rebounds, nine assists and four steals in the Thunder’s 108-91 win over the Warriors on Wednesday.
Westbrook and Kevin Durant got into it and Westbrook comes away with a battle-win, which will be satisfying in the short-term, but the bigger development for Westbrook and the Thunder is that they didn’t have a high profile loss. They have had understandable chemistry issues and rather than tipping over this is a nice building block. Paul George added 20 points, 11 boards and 10 cash counters, and Carmelo Anthony put up 22 points, five boards, three treys and one steal in the win.
