Russell Westbrook carried the Thunder to a 120-117 win over the Hawks on Friday night with a masterful performance that included 30 points, seven rebounds, 15 assists, two steals, one block, one 3-pointer and a 12-of-17 shooting line.
The popcorn numbers are always fun and nights when he’s scoring efficiently are just cake for owners of the reigning MVP. Westbrook even went 5-for-5 at the stripe in this one, and he appears to be slowly pulling up from his early-season trough in that department. The efficiency will continue to hamper him despite this one-night reprieve, and he’s looking like a late-first round fantasy play as opposed to the dynamite top-3 player he was last season.
