Russell Westbrook dropped a 32-13-11 triple-double with three steals in 39 minutes during Friday’s 115-113 victory over the Rockets.
Westbrook now has two in a row and was obviously paramount to the Thunder pulling themselves back into this series. He shot 11-of-24 from the field and 10-of-14 from the line, with a trio of those misses coming late in the game and giving Houston some last gasp chances. They nearly won the game after Westbrook missed free throw number fourteen, but no harm no foul. He’s being hounded as soon as he crosses halfcourt by a bevy of defenders and was a bit fortunate that Pat Beverley fouled out in only 25 minutes. Still, Westbrook remains an unstoppable force and no amount of pesky defenders can get in his way. He did well to ignore the talk of selfishness that popped up after an odd Game 2 and the Thunder are halfway to defending home court. Game 4 should be a great one.
