Tim Hardaway Jr. kept the Knicks in the fight in Friday’s 104-108 loss, scoring a career-high 39 points on 14-of-25 shooting to go with six triples, three assists and three steals in 36 minutes of work.
Hardaway has had a few explosive games this season but hadn’t topped 30 points since mid-February, so it was nice for his owners to get a monster performance deep into the fantasy playoffs. It should also help soothe the pain from his recent wayward shooting. While the Knicks would benefit from some more losses down the stretch, they don’t seem to be engaging in all the blatant tank strategies that some of their contemporaries are. That’s great news for THJ, who is already making some of those offseason takes on his contract look pretty silly.
