Tony Allen returned from a knee injury in Monday’s surprise win over the Cavs, scoring a season-high 26 points on 11-of-17 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, four assists, five steals and a block in 34 minutes.
Allen also got his 1000th career steal tonight. If you predicted this line then you should stop playing fantasy and move onto bigger things like Powerball. It’s also telling that the Grizzlies felt comfortable playing him so much after he took so many days off, as it’s clearly a maintenance injury that they’re buying time with prior to the postseason. There is so much risk with Allen’s knee and the band will be back together soon, so owners don’t need to make an add here in most reasonably sized formats.
