Trevor Ariza scored 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting (including a season-high seven triples) with two rebounds, two steals and one block in the Rockets’ 125-95 win over the Nuggets on Wednesday.
Ariza and Co. all ate like it was some holiday that we can’t quite put a finger on at this moment. James Harden saw his 49-straight free throw streak snapped but nearly triple-doubled with 21 points, eight boards and nine assists, P.J. Tucker had seven points and 11 boards, and Chris Paul put up 23 & 12 with seven cash counters. Clint Capela got a little lesson from Mike D’Antoni and was benched, putting up just eight and eight in 17 minutes. He’ll be okay.
