Tyreke Evans was a man possessed in Saturday’s loss, shooting 13-of-24 from the field to finish with 29 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two threes and a block in 41 minutes of action.
Evans has been sensational this season and deserves every bit of praise you can toss his way. Looking truly healthy for the first time in years, he’s taken on a key role for the beleaguered Grizzlies and is more or less their primary playmaker and scorer these days. They’d be completely dead in the water without his contributions this season and his fantasy owners might be just as thankful. He’s one of the pack leaders for waiver pickup of the year so far and there doesn’t look to be much that can slow him down. Even if he takes a step down the rung when the Grizz are fully healthy he’s going to be delivering top-100 numbers. Enjoy the Evans resurgence.
