Karl-Anthony Towns edged out his teammates with the Wolves’ line of the night in their 132-118 win over the depleted Nets, scoring 28 points on 14-of-18 shooting with six rebounds, a career-high seven assists, two steals and three blocks in 38 minutes.
We’d say that the Sam Mitchell flip-out had something to do with this but the Nets looked like a Philly squad from the past few seasons. Everybody got off and the Wolves hit an astounding franchise-record 68.4 percent of their shots tonight. Andrew Wiggins hit 10-of-14 shots for 26 points, two threes, four rebounds, six assists, one steal and 4-of-4 free throws. Zach LaVine hit 9-of-12 shots for 21 points, three treys, four assists and two steals, and Ricky Rubio had 16 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and two threes of his own. The only guy not to get in on the fun was Gorgui Dieng, who had four points, three rebounds, two assists and three blocks.
