Derrick Rose sprained his left ankle during the third quarter and did not return in Friday’s match up against the Hornets.
Rose limped off the floor to the Knicks bench then was escorted to the locker room. With his past injury history, it is always scary when he goes down but luckily X-rays were negative. He will not return to the game tonight. Brandon Jennings will be a safe play for however long Rose is out, but Justin Holiday may end up being the better play because of his strong stat set.
Update: Jeff Hornacek said the sprained ankle that kept Rose out of the remainder of the game is nothing major, however, there is no timetable for his return to the floor.
